The Colorblends House & Spring Garden will open be March 31 – May 14, 2018. See you this spring!
The Garden: Open dawn till dusk, 7 days a week. Free and open to the public.
The House: Open 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week.
The house features a pop-up art gallery that showcases the work of local artists. Suggested donation $3 per person, $25 for groups of 10 or more.
Visitors to the Colorblends House & Spring Garden can stroll through an evolving display of color as snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, tulips, alliums other spring-flowering bulbs come into bloom. Design ideas and creative blends abound in this intimate garden, which is a collaboration between Bridgeport-based Colorblends Wholesale Flowerbulbs and distinguished Dutch garden designer Jacqueline van der Kloet.
The garden and restored 1903 Colonial Revival mansion are at 893 Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport’s Stratfield Historic District. Access is easy from I95, the Merritt Parkway and US Route 1, and street parking is plentiful.

A Spring Celebration: Open House & Garden: Saturday, April 21, 10am – 6pm
You are invited to the Colorblends House & Spring Garden Open House on Saturday, April 21, from 10am to 6pm. Refreshments will be served. The daffodils are likely to be in their prime, and the tulips should be showing color. Colorblends staff will be available to answer bulb questions. The newly renovated Colonial Revival mansion will be filled with art of all kinds created by local artists.
Little Free Library
The Colorblends House & Spring Garden is pleased to host Bridgeport’s first Little Free Library. Located on the garden property at 893 Clinton Avenue, the Little Free Library will offer books to visitors of the garden at no cost. Visitors are encouraged to “take a book, return a book.” Colorblends is proud to expand its goodwill in the Bridgeport community while promoting literacy, providing access to interesting books and giving visitors a new way to enjoy their time in the garden.
